People don’t know what Happy Thursday is. The answer is it’s a fruity, fizz-free spiked refresher. But how do you explain that in a way that doesn’t just feel like another ad to Gen Z? Through song.

We partnered with viral TikTok artist INJI to compose an original track called “What is a Happy Thursday?” We used this boozy, bubble-free banger as the audio for our spot, finally answering what Happy Thursday is all about. But the song was so good we made a lyric video too.

Writing a jingle was daunting at first. But when I first wrote “Spiked refresher, guilty pleasure, fruity treasure, spiked refresher” I realized the lyrics that worked best were the ones that didn’t take themselves too seriously which turned into a fun brief for INJI to create her track.

We also got to shoot BTS with INJI and see the track come to life as she recorded in her studio. It was amazing to see the cheeky spirit of my first lyrics and late-night voice memos evolve into a banger and to collaborate with such a talented artist.
